Heal Sunburns with Sage!

It's that time of year! Sunburn Season!

Over the Memorial Day weekend I got cooked! No more chicken skin, just fried chicken skin :P
We've all been there, we all know how unpleasant the sunburn can be, so guess what! I discovered my new favorite herb. Sage!
It's a miracle herb as far as I'm concerned. It takes away the burn, the inflammation that comes with a bad sunburn and helps to prevent flaking and dry cracked skin. We've all heard of using Aloe Vera for sunburns and not to down on Aloe, it is indeed a wonderful cure for many things and helps a lot with burns, but it tends to crust over the skin and cause irritation on a bad burn. I will never again be without sage in my house.

What to do:
You can buy whole sage leaves, not ground (preferably dried, yet not necessary) at almost any grocery store or herbal store.
take a few of the leaves and put them in a normal sized breakfast bowl filled with water and microwave 4 - 5 mins, or until boiled.
Let cool, then strain the leaves out and put them somewhere to dry out (the leaves can be reused until they lose their potency).
Using a cloth or paper towel, soak in the Sage Tea and apply over burned area several times a day.

You'll be amazed how well it works! A good idea to begin with is always sunscreen, however, to prevent the burns to begin with. Sunscreen is your friend! Use it!

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2%.

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6%.

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44%.

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300%

Note that while the law-abiding citizens turn their arms in, criminals do not. You do the math.

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the mainstream evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.

Switzerland issues every household a gun!
Switzerland's government trains every adult to issue a rifle.

Zeitgeist

I know, it's been awhile since I've posted anything on here. Been busy with work during the day and school in the evenings...
One of the most interesting movies I've found though regarding the truth on 9/11 and the US government and even religion (growing up in an extremely religiously motivated community, i found the first section of the movie very interesting) is the 07 'Zeitgeist: The Movie'. I've watched it so many times, i lost count. Here's a link to the Zeitgeist site where you can watch it and also the 08 movie 'Zeitgeist Addendum' as well. Be aware they're a couple hours long though.

Peppermint as in.... Patty?

God's gift to people who have to go through the Winter season every year.... Mint Tea! Peppermint to be exact. I have to say, I'm amazed at how many people I've met who had never heard of drinking mint tea to cure sore throats, sniffly noses, upset stomachs and... bad breathe? Yes you, sir, mint tea would indeed be a good investment... for all our sakes... phew!
Seriously though, after having several of my friends complaining about being miserable suffering from this cold they've had all week and telling them about this amazing herb, you'd think i was a God. hmm maybe... well ha! never mind, i won't go there ;)
not only is it good for the common cold, but it's also known to relieve stress, treat headaches, diarrhea, nausea, menstrual cramps and many other things as well. Not to sound like a health freak, but i keep some on hand at all times.
It's available at any grocery store or health food store, and it is recommended to use honey as a tea sweetener instead of sugar.
A little off topic, maybe, but i thought i should share incase anyone wanted to know.

With the anniversary of 9/11 a couple weeks back, it's really been on my mind lately as im sure it has everyone's. There's been a lot of talk about the 9/11 incident being an inside job and people wondering if its terrorists we need to be afraid of or if our own government are the ones behind the dark curtain. Sounds crazy right? I mean.... This is America! The land of the free and the home of the brave!.... or is it? It was worth looking into anyhow, got the wheels in my head turning and decided to do my homework...
So thats what this site is all about, my findings and conclusions to the truth about 9/11, the war on terror, and our American government in general. I'll post my findings here and hopefully we can find the truth behind the rumors.
